The concept of "Removing Barriers", is in regards to allowing the application Macromedia Dreamweaver to become easier to learn through the training method and additional features built within this training course. Secondly, the training course takes you through the fundamentals of web development including HTML, and only utilises accessible web development techniques. All techniques taught throughout the course conform to W3C's Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 1.0. (WCAG 1.0)

W3C (World Wide Web Consortium) are the governing body of web technologies such as HTML and CSS. The WCAG 1.0 is a recommendation of development techniques that allow web sites and web based documents to become accessible to all users. This enables remote technology to access pages, screen readers and adaptive technology to easily translate documents.

The courses wide range of accessibility features allows for open use of the training material by incorporating non graphical text throughout the course, keyboard access keys, user control over animations and interactions and actual tutor support.

Please note that our product does not claim to be 'Barrier Free' which is another term used to describe IT products that are liberated of ALL accessibility restrictions, however our course has made major in-roads in reducing these barriers.
